Cape Cod Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is expanding and has an immediate need for Certified Medical Assistants at our Hyannis location. As the premier provider of musculoskeletal care in the greater Cape Cod community for over 30 years, our busy practice is looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic and understanding of the importance of providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting our providers with patient care by interviewing patients, inputting clinical data (eClinicalWorks experience a plus), applying and removing casts, and preparing injections, in addition to phone and administrative responsibilities. Viable candidates must possess strong clinical, administrative, computer, and interpersonal skills. The ability to multi-task is essential. Must be CPR certified. Three years previous experience is preferred.

Occupational Therapist

Cape Cod Orthopaedics Physical Therapy (CCOPT) is expanding and is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. As the premier provider of musculoskeletal care in the greater Cape Cod community for over 30 years, our busy practice is looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic and understanding of the importance of providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

Occupational Therapist Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review patients’ medical history and asses their condition and needs
  • Evaluate patients' ability to do certain tasks
  • Confer with physicians, patients and their families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of a patient's care team
  • Develop a treatment plan for patients with specific goals and tasks that will help them meet those goals
  • Guide patients to perform tasks to meet their goals
  • Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain
  • Evaluate a patient’s home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on their needs
  • Educate a patient’s family about how to help care for and accommodate them
  • Recommend and teach patients how to use adaptive equipment that will help them with daily living, such as wheelchairs and eating aids
  • Assess patients' progress against goals and prepare reports for healthcare providers and insurance agencies
  • Specialized skills in hand therapy / CHT preferred

Individual occupational therapy plans differ depending on patients' needs, but all strive to develop, increase, or maintain independence in performing tasks of daily living.

As the premier provider of musculoskeletal care in the greater Cape Cod community for over 30 years, our busy practice is looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic and understanding of the importance of providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for performing patient interviews and obtaining medical information through telephone or face-to-face contact. Excellent listening and communication skills are essential to this position. Previous medical terminology/background is required.

Physical Therapist – Hyannis MA

We have direct case communication with onsite orthopedic surgeons as well as our occupational medicine department to enhance our clients care. Job Title: Physical Therapy Charge Entry Representative

Department/Group: Patient Accounts Department

Location: Sandwich, MA

Job Summary: input charges of daily Physical Therapy claims.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enter Physical Therapy charges within 3 days from note closure, per insurance specifications.
  • Work scheduled shift, take scheduled meal breaks
  • Obtain and uphold appropriate dress code
  • Follow al HIPPA regulations
  • Uphold all department/practice protocols
  • Assist in Physical Therapy claim denial process
  • Provide coverage for Ancillary claims processing

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and/or sit for extended period of time

Patient Accounts Representative/ Insurance Biller  

Location: Sandwich, MA

Job Summary: Maintain all patient accounts per specified insurance companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and post daily ERA/Insurance Payments for designated insurances.
  • Process creation of claims for specified insurances.
  • Appeal all denied claims for designated insurances within timely filing limit.
  • Assist patients in understanding; explanation of benefits, payment policies, etc.
  • Pull and Maintain A/R reports and claim statuses for designated insurances.
  • Provide assistance to other staff on appeals, posting and other insurance/financial questions.
  • Address all correspondences for designated insurances.
  • Offer phone support for Billing Hunt Group
  • Scanning Duties.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One year previous experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and/or sit for extended period of time
